ROLO ONLINE – NOW AVAILABLE

Although restrictions were lifted in England we still believe that it is still good health and safety practice to continue with a range of social distancing measures and additional safeguards, for the safety and wellbeing of trainers and delegates. Our face to face courses are still not the preferred method of delivery at this time. We are running the ROLO Online Course to reduce, as far as possible, the need for group and social contact.

Whilst the C19 pandemic is disrupting normal working arrangements and whilst the health risk associated with group teaching remains, the quick link button can give you an overview of the course online administration.

There is no need to complete the instructions and other registrations within the form at this time.

We have provided some information about the course delivery, assessment and administration. The information will give you an overview of the online version of ROLO and we are happy to discuss any further details with you.

If all you need is some basic information there is some detailed below in the course overview etc. Alternatively complete the quick contact form and a member of staff will contact you to discuss your course requirements.

Alternatively there is a more detailed form at the foot of the page to make a formal inquiry.

If you see a suitable date available in the next section, you can go to our store page to book your place on that course date(s).

Available Dates for online courses

  • As our dates are normally filling up as we post them, we suggest you use our dedicated site button to see if there are any spaces advertised.
  • There are a some dates throughout November and December and into the New Year.
  • Other dates to be confirmed or contact to see if we can arrange something for you.

ONLY 6 SPACES PER COURSE

The course was delivered over 2 half day sessions but now, courses are typicaly dleivered over the 1 day (say 09.00 to 16.00).

Each event can only be run subject to the number of participants and requires a minimum of 3 delegates per course to run. We reserve the right to amend times and dates. Courses and available spaces are updated as close to real time as possible but there could be some delay where a customer has ordered but not paid.

IF YOU ARE FIXED TO DATES AND THEY ARE NOT AVILABLE, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT WE COULD PUT ON A BESPOKE COURSE FOR YOUR COMPANY. CONTACT US TO DISCUSS.

Online ROLO course overview

We are now able to deliver the taught course online. We have chosen ZOOM as our preferred tool for the online training and unlike our face to face classroom training, the following limitations apply in line with BALI guidance:

> A maximum of 6 learners can be taught in a single course.

> The course is delivered over 1 day but can be delivered over 2 half day sessions.

> Delegates must access the course via desktop computer, laptop or pad all with web cam and sound.

> No Mobile phones unless being used as a camera for the above.

> Delegates must provide some basic information to us and register with BALI.

> The assessment must be taken online using the BALI platform.

Personal Details

We will need some basic information to process your certification and to register you on your ROLO course.  On the first day of teaching, you will need to show you online tutor a form of ID (shown via your webcam to the tutor).  This must show you full name as detailed below.

Additional support

If you have a need for additional support, that could be because you are dyslexic or English is not you first language, please let us know in advance. We will be able to make Reasonable Adjustment for your assessment. Our web-based form enables you to check this box if applicable. Your tutor will contact you in advance to discuss.

Attendance

You must be available for all sessions as agreed and participate in the course.

The session is extended after a break to complete the online assessment.  This is under exam conditions and will be completed online under supervision of the tutor.

Your tutor can liaise with you prior to the course to make sure that all is working before the formal session.

Assessment

The ROLO assessment is now hosted on the BALI ROLO platform.  You will need to register before the course to enable you to sit the course and complete the on-line assessment.

If you have booked your course you will need to go to the ROLO website here https://rolo-online.org.uk/login/index.php to access the ROLO login and registration page. You will need to create a new account. At this point you will enter your details and submit them. The download below might help!

You will receive an email from BALI confirming your request.  You MUST reply to that email to be live on their system. When you have completed the registration, you MUST email us to let us know that you are live on the system.

When you are live you can access your dashboard by logging in to the ROLO site with your username and password.  There you have some resources that you can look at before the course and attempt a simple PRACTISE ASSESSMET.  This should give you confidence on the day for the real assessment.

Once in the site you can click on your course resources. Here you will see your resources and the sample test.  The sample test password is Test

On the day of the assessment you will be given a new password to complete the test.  You get 30 minutes to complete the 35 questions and 45 minutes if you require Reasonable adjustment.
